💚Heart Chakra Soup — Nourishment for When Love Feels Heavy

🌿 Intro: Cooking from the Heart (Even When It’s Complicated)

Some meals are made out of joy, and some are made out of necessity.
This one? A little of both.

Tomorrow, I’ll be meeting family for the first time—at a repass. And while I feel for their loss, my body’s still in healing mode. We’ve been detoxing from flu season energy over here—no shots, just soups, herbs, and rest. So before stepping into that mix of grief, reunion, and obligation, I decided to feed my own house first.

This pot isn’t just food—it’s protection.
It’s a Heart Chakra brew for compassion without depletion, connection without losing yourself, and love that honors boundaries.

Nourishment for When Love Feels Heavy

💚 The Ingredients (Now in Full Bloom)

  • Leftover Shrimp (Water Element): renewal, flow, and emotional release
  • Creamy Tomato Soup (32 fl oz, gluten-free + low sodium): the heart of it all—warming, soothing, and compassionate
  • Coconut Milk (13.5 fl oz): divine comfort, sweetness, and softness
  • Diced Tomatoes (14.5 oz can): heart activation through passion, courage, and life force
  • Cauliflower + Broccoli (frozen or fresh): immune-boosting, grounding greens for protection
  • Onions (chopped): the aromatherapy of release—clears emotional congestion
  • Sea Salt + Black Pepper: balance + boundaries
  • (Optional) Garlic, basil, or thyme for emotional depth

.

💚 Chakra Note: The Taste of Compassion

Affirmation:

“I give and receive love freely. My body is nourished, my heart is open, and my boundaries with love and light.”

Reiki Tip:
Before serving, hold your hands a few inches over the bowl. Visualize a soft green light swirling clockwise into the soup. Whisper your intention: “Infuse this meal with love, ease, and balance for all who eat it.”

🔥 The Flow of Healing (Updated Directions)

  1. Sauté onions in a little oil or butter until soft and fragrant—about 3–5 minutes. This is where your grounding starts.
  2. Add your can of diced tomatoes and let them simmer for another 3–4 minutes so they can deepen their flavor and sweetness.
  3. Pour in the creamy tomato soup and stir well. Let this base simmer gently for 10 minutes—enough time to soften the edges of your thoughts, too.
  4. Stir in your coconut milk, slowly. Let it swirl into the red like peace moving through passion—your own mini heart-chakra activation. Simmer another 5–7 minutes on medium-low heat.
  5. Add cauliflower first, then broccoli after about 5 minutes. Cook until both are tender but still vibrant (another 5–6 minutes).
  6. Finally, add your leftover shrimp just before serving—warm through for 1–2 minutes max.

Serve in your favorite bowl, preferably with a little light, a deep breath, and gratitude.

💭 Updated Reflection Paragraph

What I love about this version is that it mirrors real life—imperfect but deeply healing.

I didn’t plan this recipe; I felt my way through it.
A creamy tomato base that hugs your soul, coconut milk that softens your heart, and shrimp that remind you to adapt and flow.
This is heart medicine in a bowl—for when you’re navigating grief, obligation, or just the ache of showing up when you’d rather rest.
