Third Eye Thursday
Dreams rarely arrive as neat little messages. They show up like puzzles scattered across a table—scenes, emotions, symbols, and fragments of everyday life stitched together by the subconscious mind.
Some nights our dreams are loud.
Other nights they whisper.
Last night’s dream carried a quiet but persistent theme: preparation without completion.
Throughout the dream I found myself moving through several spaces—arriving somewhere unfamiliar, noticing people coming and going, driving through a neighborhood, stopping for fuel, and navigating a large store that appeared much bigger on the inside than it first seemed.
But one symbol appeared more than once.
At different moments in the dream I was preparing a cup of coffee, adjusting it to taste—adding cream, adding sugar—making sure it was exactly how I wanted it.
And yet…
I never actually drank it.
Each time something interrupted the moment.
What Dreams Like This Often Reflect
Dreams frequently use ordinary objects as emotional metaphors. Coffee is a powerful one because culturally it represents energy, wakefulness, readiness, and momentum.
Preparing coffee in a dream can symbolize:
- gathering energy
- preparing for action
- waking up to something new
- getting ready to move forward
But when the coffee never gets consumed, the dream can be highlighting something else entirely:
Potential energy that hasn’t been fully used yet.
Not blocked.
Not denied.
Just… waiting.
Life often moves through these kinds of transitions. We gather ideas, build plans, start projects, shift environments, and prepare ourselves mentally long before the moment arrives to actually step forward.
The dream simply mirrors that stage.
The stage where things are brewing.
A Quiet Observation
Another interesting detail in the dream was movement between different spaces—homes, vehicles, neighborhoods, and stores.
Dream environments often represent phases of life or internal states.
Sometimes we are fully settled in a place.
Other times we are simply passing through.
And sometimes we’re in the space right before something changes.
That kind of dream doesn’t always bring answers. Instead it offers awareness:
Something is forming.
Something is preparing.
Something is waking up.
The cup is ready.
Pause & Reflect ✍🏾
Dreams speak differently to each person, but you may want to ask yourself:
- What in my life feels like it’s “brewing” right now?
- Am I preparing for something new?
- Where might I be gathering energy instead of using it?
Your dreams may not always explain themselves immediately, but over time patterns begin to appear.
And when they do, the story becomes clearer.
Your Dream Says… 💭
Pay attention to the moments before action.
Sometimes the most powerful stage of transformation isn’t the leap.
It’s the preparation.
The gathering of energy.
The quiet moment when the cup is full and waiting.
Start Recording Your Own Dreams
Dreams become much easier to understand when you can look back and notice patterns over time.
That’s exactly why I created my guided dream journal:
Third Eye Open: The Dream Journal — A Soul-Centered Guide to Remembering & Reflecting.
This journal helps you:
🌀 capture dreams before they fade
🌀 track recurring symbols and patterns
🌀 reflect on what your subconscious may be exploring
🌀 deepen your connection with your intuition
When you record your dreams consistently, you start to see how your inner world speaks.
And sometimes the message isn’t in one dream.
It’s in the pattern of many.

Your dreams are already speaking.
You just have to write them down.
