Something NuBian
The Full Moon in Leo doesn’t whisper.
She doesn’t wait for permission.
She illuminates what’s already alive and says: be seen.
This moon isn’t about performance.
It’s about presence.
I’m not writing this from a finished place. I’m writing this from the middle. From the floor. From the steam of the shower. From the pages of a journal that’s been opened, closed, and reopened again.
Question for ya, how far have you come from six months ago? Six months ago, I wrote about how spirituality can be used to avoid truth. This Full Moon marks the shift from naming the problem to creating a practice that doesn’t allow hiding.
Leo energy brings everything back to the heart—but not the curated version. The real one.
And I’ll be real… if your faith makes you more defensive than it does honest, it’s not rooted in God—it’s rooted in ego.
That distinction matters under a Full Moon in Leo. This moon doesn’t reward spiritual performance or borrowed righteousness. It illuminates where ego has been protecting image instead of allowing truth to do its work.
Leo asks a harder question:
Can you stand in the light without hiding?Healing requires courage. Accountability requires humility. And neither can exist where defensiveness runs the show.
This Full Moon marks the beginning of something intentional for me:
mapping my healing while I create.
Not after I’m healed.
Not when everything is perfect.
But as I live it.
🔥 Leo Energy & the Courage to Be Honest
Leo rules the heart, the spine, the inner child, and creative expression. Under this Full Moon, what’s illuminated is not what we’ve mastered, but what we’re brave enough to admit.
I am:
- healed from some things
- healing from others
- actively holding space as a healer
All at the same time.
Leo reminds me that none of that disqualifies me.
It qualifies me.
🪬 Why Crystals & Plants Matter in This Season
I’ve learned something important over the years: healing doesn’t happen in abstraction. It happens in relationship.
With:
- the body
- the breath
- the earth
- the home
Crystals and plants aren’t aesthetic add-ons for me. They’re anchors.
Position it like:
“This was sent to me to explore. Here’s what I noticed.”
That’s the posture I’m holding as new crystals and plants enter my space. Not hype. Not promises. Observation. Relationship. Integrity.
Crystals help me notice patterns in my energy.
Plants teach me pacing, patience, and care.
Both remind me that growth is alive. It responds to attention.
🌿 The Practice: How I’m Working With This Full Moon
This Full Moon begins the cycle. The rest unfolds over time.
✨ Self Reiki
I place my hands where my body asks for them.
Heart. Solar plexus. Lower back. Knees.
I’m not forcing release. I’m listening.
Leo teaches me that my body wants to be respected, not overridden.
🧘🏾♀️ Yoga (Gentle, Not Punitive)
This isn’t about discipline. It’s about devotion.
Heart openers.
Spinal awareness.
Grounded poses that say: I’m here.
Even five minutes counts.
📓 Therapeutic Journaling

I’m journaling in layers:
- What this moon is illuminating
- What I’m ready to release
- What I’m willing to grow into next
Not polished thoughts. Honest ones.
Some days it’s one sentence.
Some days it’s tears on the page.
All of it counts.
🧘🏾♀️ Meditation
Short. Quiet. Real.
I sit with the question:
“What is asking to be seen right now?”
I don’t rush the answer.
🌱 Plants as Teachers
When the plants arrive, I’ll observe:
- how often they need care
- where they thrive in my home
- what changes when I tend to them consistently
This becomes metaphor, lesson, and mirror.
🏫 How This Feeds the Homeschool & the Blog
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It informs everything.
As I work through these moon phases:
- homeschool lessons expand around nature, cycles, and self-awareness
- journaling becomes curriculum
- observation becomes science
- reflection becomes literacy
And the blogs become living documentation, not advice columns.
This is how Something NuBian stays distinct:
I don’t just teach concepts.
I show my process.
🌕 This Is the Beginning, Not the Reveal
This Full Moon in Leo is not the finished story.
It’s the first spotlight.
As the plants grow…
As the crystals arrive…
As the décor shifts…
As my body responds…
I’ll keep writing.
Not to prove anything.
But to witness it.
If you’re healing while creating too, you’re not behind.
You’re in rhythm.
