🌙 Living With the Moon: A Gentle Guide to Lunar Rhythm

How I Work With the Moon in Real Life

This guide is part of my ongoing practice of living with the moon, not just observing it.

I don’t work with the moon because it’s trendy.
I work with the moon because life already moves in cycles—whether we honor them or not.

At Something NuBian, moon work isn’t about perfection, performance, or aesthetic rituals done “right.” It’s about timing, awareness, and compassion—especially for women holding a lot, healing a lot, and still showing up.

🌑 What the Moon Actually Does

Astronomically, the moon moves through predictable phases.
Energetically, those phases move through us.

You may notice:

  • Emotional sensitivity around Full Moons
  • Fatigue or introspection around New Moons
  • Vivid dreams or memory recall
  • A desire to release, rest, or begin again

None of this requires belief—only attention.

🌑 New Moons: Intention & Root Work

New Moons are not about hustle or manifestation pressure.
They are about quiet beginnings.

During a New Moon, I focus on:

  • Setting realistic intentions
  • Grounding the body and nervous system
  • Root and sacral chakra support
  • Reiki for stability and trust
  • Journaling for clarity rather than answers

This is where seeds are planted—not forced.

🌕 Full Moons: Release & Illumination

Full Moons don’t create chaos—they reveal what’s already full.

During a Full Moon, I focus on:

  • Emotional honesty
  • Releasing what has reached completion
  • Throat and heart chakra clearing
  • Reiki for emotional integration
  • Journaling what needs to be witnessed, not fixed

This is where truth surfaces gently—or loudly.

📓 Why I Journal With the Moon

Moon journaling isn’t about writing beautifully.
It’s about tracking patterns over time.

When you journal consistently with the moon, you begin to notice:

  • Repeating emotional cycles
  • Relationship themes
  • Dream symbolism
  • Physical responses to stress and rest

This is why I created tools like my dream journal and planners—to support awareness, not control.

✨ How to Use My New & Full Moon Guides

Each New Moon and Full Moon post on Something NuBian includes:

  • A reflection on the current energy
  • Gentle prompts for journaling
  • Suggestions for Reiki and chakra balancing
  • A printable Moon Alignment Sheet (when available)

You don’t need to do everything.
Choose what supports you now.

🌙 A Living Practice

This is not a one-time lesson.
It’s a rhythm.

Some months you’ll journal deeply.
Other months you’ll simply notice the moon and breathe.

Both count.

Living with the moon means honoring your capacity—not competing with the calendar.

🔗 How to Read the Moon Blogs Going Forward

🤍 Closing

The moon doesn’t rush.
Neither should your healing.
