Alright beloved, here’s my full, cozy, soulful, Something NuBian–style blog post — warm, layered, spiritual, and written like we’re sitting in my kitchen with incense burning and stew on standby.
Now let’s get into this Sunday magic…
The Meal That Grounds Your Inner-G & Prepares Your Spirit for the Week Ahead
Beloveds, let me tell you… sometimes healing sneaks up on you in the form of a pot you didn’t even mean to put on.
I wasn’t planning a full Sunday spread today — I truly wasn’t. But Spirit whispered,
“Slow down, Empress. Put something warm on the stove.”
And when that kind of nudge comes through, I don’t argue… I grab my Dutch oven.
I had beef cubes.
A few potatoes.
Some carrots.
And maybe an onion (you know how onions play hide-and-seek in the hanging fruit basket).
And before I knew it, the whole house started smelling like the ancestors clocked in for their shift.
This is the kind of meal that wraps around your legs like a toddler you love and says,
“You safe. Sit down. Eat something real.”
🍲 The Stew: A Root Chakra Reset in a Pot
When beef hits a hot pan, that sizzle is a prayer of its own.
I browned the cubes until they looked like they had a little testimony.
I softened the onions and garlic until they started singing backup.
Then I added broth, herbs, carrots, potatoes…
From there?
Baby, the pot did the rest.
It thickened on its own timeline, just like healing does.
It smelled like calm, like clarity, like somebody’s favorite auntie humming gospel and boiling water for tea.
This stew isn’t fast food.
It’s soul food — the kind you let whisper to you while it cooks.
🧡 The Cornbread: Sacral Sunshine Baked in a Skillet
Listen.
When that cornbread slid out of the oven with a golden top and a soft bounce?
I had to stop and admire her.
Moist. Warm. Glowing like she exfoliates.
Oat milk, eggs, cornmeal — that’s all it took.
I brushed the top with a little honey oat glaze and whew…
Sis had the nerve to shine like a moisturized Black woman minding her business.
Cornbread is comfort.
Cornbread is confidence.
Cornbread is that deep, warm “I deserve good things” energy.
Together?
Stew + cornbread = a balanced plate, a grounded home, and an aligned mind.

🫶🏾 A Word for You, Beloved
Let this be your reminder that healing doesn’t always happen in meditation, on a yoga mat, or in a journal.
Sometimes it happens in a pot.
Sometimes it happens over a stove.
Sometimes it happens through nourishment, warmth, and a quiet kitchen.
Your inner-G doesn’t need perfection — just presence.
So sit down.
Savor this bowl.
And let your spirit exhale.
(Try this next Sunday or any day of the week that you want to make a Sunday dinner during the week)
