📚 “What Book Are You Reading Right Now?” — A WordPress Prompt Turned Reflection

Daily writing prompt
What book are you reading right now?

Beloveds, lately, my “reading list” looks a little different — it’s full of red ink, sticky notes, and whispered affirmations like “You got this, Empress.” I’m not just reading a book right now… I’m editing one.

Stranger at the Door: Soundtrack of My Survival has me deep in reflection. Every chapter feels like sitting in the front seat of a memory—windows down, music on blast, replaying moments I once tried to outrun. Editing this project isn’t just about commas and line breaks; it’s about reclaiming the rhythm of my own healing.

When you write from your wounds and then revisit them with wisdom, you start to see how much you’ve grown. It’s humbling. It’s holy. And it’s hard sometimes—editing your own story means facing the parts that used to sting but now serve as proof of survival.

So while everyone else might be curled up reading a bestseller, I’m here reading me.
Reading who I was, who I became, and who I refuse to be again.

Current chapter theme: “Every song is a scar turned story.”
