🍵 Let’s Pour the Tea
Belief has always been currency.
Not the kind you fold — the kind that folds you.
Every empire, church, and corporation runs on faith: faith in the system, the product, the promise. They convinced us to tithe while they built cathedrals; to donate while they drafted dividends.
See, belief was the first hustle — the softest kind of colonization.
Because once you control what people believe, you don’t need chains; their guilt will do the binding.
💰 The Economics of Salvation
Let’s be honest: theology has receipts.
The same hands that wrote “Thou shalt not steal” were tallying land, taxes, and souls.
They called it “mission work.” We called it mass conversion.
They built economies from our confessions, institutions from our obedience, and legacies from our forgiveness.
When you realize belief was sold as a product, you start asking real questions:
- Who profits from my guilt?
- Who benefits when I doubt my own power?
- Who keeps the lights on when I tithe from my trauma?
Because this isn’t just theology — this is accounting.
🕯️ From Tithes to Trauma
The old church trained us to think poverty was piety.
That wealth meant pride, and suffering meant favor.
But here’s the thing: a lot of us were never poor in spirit — we were just trained to under-charge our magic.
That guilt kept generations of Black women healing, teaching, praying, and serving for free, while institutions cashed out on our faith.
So when I say I left the God they gave us, I’m saying I refuse to invest in systems that tell me to shrink for salvation.
I’m reclaiming my power — and pricing my peace accordingly.
🌿 Sacred Economics & Ancestral Exchange
In our original ways, giving was circular, not hierarchical.
You offered fruit, not fear.
You exchanged energy — not invoices.
The village fed the healer, the healer blessed the land, the land fed the people.
That’s sacred economics — a system of reciprocity, not exploitation.
When I charge for a reading, Reiki session, or journal, I’m not selling Spirit — I’m honoring energy.
Money is just modern gratitude in motion.
Let that sink in.
We’re not chasing coins — we’re keeping the current moving.
