🌀 Third Eye Thursday: The Airbnb, the Ex & the Water Trap

When healing feels playful, and new life is forming

By Reiki RaEss · Something NuBian

Last night’s dream started like a reality-show crossover: my family and I were staying at an Airbnb, and my husband’s ex-wife was there too—but she wasn’t herself. She was Naturi Naughton from Notorious. Even in the dream I laughed at how random that was, yet it felt symbolic—like Spirit showing me that “the ex” wasn’t the point. Visibility was.

🏠 Scene 1: The Shared Space

An Airbnb isn’t home; it’s temporary. It’s where we pause between one chapter and the next. So this setting already whispered transition. Sharing that space with a version of the past told me I’m co-existing with old energies that are about to check out.

Reflection Prompt: What (or who) are you still sharing energetic space with that’s only meant to stay for a short season?

✂️ Scene 2: The Crown Shift

I cut off my locs, dyed my hair jet black with blonde and purple streaks, and styled it bone-straight and spiky. I looked fierce—and free. Hair in dreams carries Crown Chakra energy: identity, ancestry, connection to the Divine.

Cutting locs = releasing what’s heavy.
Black = rebirth and grounding.
Blonde = illumination and confidence.
Purple = intuition and higher knowing.

I woke up feeling like my aura got a lineup.

Prompt: If your hair could speak today, what truth would it tell about the version of you that’s emerging?

💦 Scene 3: The Water Trap

My husband called me to help set up a little contraption at the neighbors front door that squirts water when someone gets close. When we came back, someone had placed one on our door—so we walked in laughing, soaked and surprised.

Water always means emotion, cleansing, baptism, intuition.
But this wasn’t a flood or storm. It was playful. Healing through humor. A reminder that emotional renewal can come with giggles instead of grief.

Prompt: Where could you invite more play into your healing process?

🤰🏾 Scene 4: The Revelation

Then came the twist: I was pregnant.
Not the ex. Not a stranger. Whole Me.

That moment was soft, simple, and powerful. Pregnancy in dreams rarely points to literal birth—it’s spiritual conception. A creative idea, a calling, or a self-rebirth forming quietly in the womb of your being.

Affirmation: I am carrying divine creation. I am the home for new beginnings.

Prompt: What are you nurturing in silence that’s ready to grow with your attention and joy?

🌕 Third Eye Reflection

Every element of this dream spoke of transformation with laughter instead of labor pains.

I shed the old (hair).
I released comparison (the ex).
I played with emotions (water).
And I discovered creation within (pregnancy).

That’s the evolution right there—learning that healing doesn’t have to hurt to be holy.

So this Thursday, tune your inner eye to the transitions happening in your own “dream season.” Something beautiful is gestating inside you too. Be patient. Be playful. Be pregnant with purpose.
