Black history is not just a month—it’s our existence. It’s the DNA woven into every system we built but were never meant to own. It’s the whispered truths our ancestors left in plain sight, waiting for us to reclaim them. And for so many of us, that journey started the moment we realized that what we were taught to believe wasn’t adding up.
Some of us left the church. Some of us questioned faith. Some of us were exiled from spaces that once called us family. But one thing remains true: leaving the church doesn’t mean leaving spirituality.

The Password is Jesus: The Club Mentality of Religion
I remember the moment it hit me. Someone told me, “I know you’ll come back to the church.” Instead of arguing, I just said, “You think so?!”—because what was there to debate? Christianity, for many, isn’t about faith—it’s a club, a membership, a social contract where the password is Jesus.
Say his name, and you belong. Question anything and you’re an outcast. They’ll defend a pastor caught red-handed before they’ll stand beside a family member who chooses truth over tradition. The irony? The same people who preach “Only God can judge” are the first to send you to hell for thinking for yourself.
But here’s what they don’t tell you: Hell is a state of mind, and it’s just not mine.

When the Fear Left, The Wisdom Entered
I wasn’t raised in the church consistently, but I was raised around it. And I noticed early that what they said and what I saw in books—encyclopedias, ancient history, even their own Bible—didn’t match.
I remember being told my imaginary friend wasn’t real, yet I was supposed to believe in theirs. That was my first real contradiction. If my invisible presence wasn’t valid, why was theirs? Why was my sense of connection to something unseen dismissed, while theirs was law?
As I got older, I saw the symbols calling me back—Egyptian art, Nefertiti necklaces, the Ankh, Maat. Before I knew their meanings, I felt them. The energy, the alignment—it had been in me all along. And when I finally freed myself from religious conditioning, the fear left, and the wisdom entered.

And let’s be real—people don’t want to admit you’re right. I’ve had folks unfriend me, cut me off, and watch from the shadows because they don’t want to say, “Damn, she had a point.” But I don’t need their validation. I don’t need them to think like me—I just need them to think.
Divine Wealth vs. Material Wealth: Where’s the Money, Though?!
I know I am divinely wealthy in knowledge, wisdom, and innerstanding. But let’s be real—where’s the money? Why hasn’t all this knowledge made me divinely rich yet?!
Because clarity and discipline are everything. And when you’re a wife, a mother, balancing bills, ideas, and ADD, staying locked in on one idea long enough to execute it is the real battle.
So I had to ask myself: What’s the easiest way to make money flow without adding more stress?
And the answer? Digital products, journals, and coaching—in that order.
The same wisdom that freed me is the same wisdom I can package and sell. Because the knowledge is priceless, but my time is not free.

Closing Thoughts: Black History is Every Day
Black history is not February. It’s not something to be observed—it’s something to be lived. And part of that means breaking free from the systems that were never meant to empower us. Faith is not meant to be feared. Spirituality is not meant to be owned. And abundance is our birthright.
So if you’ve been questioning, keep questioning. If you’ve been learning, keep learning. If you’ve been unlearning, keep unlearning. The truth was never meant to fit in a box—it was meant to set you free.
And free people don’t wait for permission to be wealthy in mind, spirit, or finances. We take what’s already ours.
Now…what are you doing with your freedom?
