Hello, beautiful souls! As many of you know, our family has recently moved from the serene, historic charm of Savannah to the bustling energy of Baltimore. This transition has been a whirlwind, filled with new sights, scents, and rhythms. We are now living with my husband’s parents, and it’s been a period of adjustment and growth for all of us. Our homeschooling has also undergone a significant transformation. Our children are now learning not only their usual subjects but also life lessons from their grandparents. This intergenerational living situation has brought a unique dynamic to our homeschool, as they assist their grandparents and learn from their wealth of knowledge and experience.
Homeschool Revamped:
Embracing the New Environment In this revamped homeschooling setup, we are focusing on two main areas: chakras and planetary studies. Teaching chakras has always been a cornerstone of our curriculum, as it seamlessly integrates with various school subjects, from science to art, and promotes a holistic understanding of their own energy and well-being. Our son is particularly fascinated by the planets, so we are diving deep into planetary studies. This not only covers astronomy but also explores how different cultures have understood and related to the cosmos. It’s a subject that sparks curiosity and encourages a love for learning.
Understanding the Laws:
LOA vs. 48 Laws of Power Another important topic we plan to explore is the difference between the Law of Attraction (LOA) and the 48 Laws of Power. As we discuss these concepts, I will share why I choose to focus on LOA in our lives and teaching. LOA emphasizes positive energy, alignment with the universe, and ethical living, which aligns perfectly with the values we wish to instill in our children. In contrast, the 48 Laws of Power, while insightful, often advocate for manipulative strategies that do not resonate with our approach to life and education.
Stay Tuned! I am excited to share more about our journey and insights on our blog. We are embracing this new chapter with open hearts and minds, and I look forward to connecting with you all. To read more about our homeschool progress and our plans, visit our blog here.
Sending love and light, La Trecia
