What can I say about this image?
It exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere that encapsulates the essence of Creative Roots’ Wine Down Wednesday—an online social event that stands as a beacon of relaxation and connectivity in a world that often moves too fast. It features a melanated figure radiating confidence and serenity. Adorned with ankh earrings that reflect her cultural pride and spiritual awareness, she raises a glass of wine in a toast, symbolizing camaraderie and the celebration of collective creativity.

As a stay-at-home wife, author, and blogger, these virtual gatherings are a cherished oasis for me. They offer a respite from the daily rigors of homeschooling and managing a household while navigating the complexities of fibromyalgia. Wine Down Wednesday is not just an event; it’s a fertile ground where ideas and inspirations are sown and nurtured. It’s where creators from diverse backgrounds converge to share, learn, and uplift one another.
Connecting with other creators is a source of inspiration that permeates every facet of life. As a mother, it instills a sense of community and support that is essential in nurturing and educating children with love and intention. As a lover and wife, it brings a fresh perspective and empathy, fortifying bonds with understanding gleaned from the shared experiences of others. The friendships forged here are imbued with a deep sense of trust and mutual respect, essential components in sustaining meaningful relationships.
Entrepreneurially, these connections are invaluable. They spark creativity, foster collaboration, and open doors to opportunities that might otherwise remain hidden. They serve as a reminder that even as a hermit, one is never truly alone. There is a network—a creative root system—that provides sustenance and stability, enabling growth and the realization of dreams.
Wine Down Wednesday transcends its initial purpose of leisure, becoming a lifeline that connects me to the world, reinforcing my role as Reiki Ra-ess and an Empress among my peers. It’s a weekly affirmation that even in solitude, one can find strength in the community, thrive in one’s endeavors, and above all, share love and laughter generously.

I am truly grateful to Kimmie Houchens and her group of friends that keep this community going and growing 🪴
When you are an empath, healer, and dealing with chronic pain finding what works for you can be like playing with a Rubik’s cube. Find creative ways that work for you. ✌🏽
