First, Let’s address the elephant in the room …

How did the term Witch become a negative term? Is it really evil? Is it culture-based?

Witch was derived from the term ‘Wicca‘ a European or “white culture”, and is associated with magic and usually gender specific to women, who were at one point rounded up and killed for practicing to heal, protect, defend, and turning homecooked meals for the soul and using what they had like fire to heat up water, air for aroma, earth/plants for the sustenance, most likely taught by Africans, the oldest proven living human civilization.

And that somehow made it wrong, but those who do practice witchery mostly use their powers naturally and positively, not all wickedness dress up during this time of year (Halloween) wearing hats and ride brooms, they come wearing eyelashes and whatnot all year, and cry when they can not choose their own karma.

Aja (Yoruba) which translates to Witch in English, debunks that magic is only practiced by white people, not to be confused that Black folks can only be root workers, denying their own magic which comes from within, and not without or outer like the elements air, wind, fire and water similar to the Lady of Magic that Frankie Beverly of Maze was talking about 😜

So let’s go over spirituality and gifts

Now Hoodoo, not to be confused with Voodoo, in which neither is evil, just different religions, can work beyond the roots and some are gifted magically. These religions should no longer be considered evil as they have the ability to turn water into wine as well.

Root workers like the grandmas, or the mothers, heal their families with herbs, however their healing is limited, nonetheless a type of witch

Dr Buzzer the most famous root doctor, similar to Dr Sebi uses medicine created by roots, used when the medical doctor can’t fix the issue, a doctor but not quite a witch doctor

Witch doctors work without means, and use what is in them, usually sought out when the root and medical doctors can’t heal rarities, they are magical by nature, and they have been known to do miraculous things like control the weather, and understand our relationship with the moon and stars, like an an astrologer.

A shaman can study and possess all gifts yet they usually teach others how to use their gifts.

Most of us limit our gifts with ignorance and fear. Especially when we care about what others think, we shrink the fullness of our gift or talent that was never given to us by another’s opinion to begin with.

At the end of the day, it’s only night and your intent. So don’t allow anyone to dim your light.

Before looking down on someone who identifies as something you know nothing about, this is an opportunity to learn and grow because there are plenty in the world that use their gift in a negative way in the name of a religious or spiritual way.

Don’t let that be you.

Every one of us possesses a different gift.

Twice in one week, I was told that I had a calming peaceful gift, and believe it or not, that is when I made a conscious decision to lie and avoid manipulating a little less and forgive myself more.

So which witch are you?

Looking back to what has transpired since November 2021, reveals what areas of your life have transformed.

About 2 years ago, around the time when I became attuned to Reiki, I started rituals and studying the moon and its phases regularly. Today, people message or call me to ask what should they expect during the New or Full Moon.

I’m no witch doctor (I don’t think) but I am working hard daily to embrace the spiritual gift that was given to me, be that as it may.

Lunar eclipses are rare celestial events that occur when the sun, moon, and Earth align in a particular way, coming in pairs of monthly solar and lunar eclipses.

“Lunar eclipses can only occur during a full moon”, the moon represents our emotions, confronting our shadow self, as the sun casts the Earth’s shadow onto the moon, connecting to a larger pattern influencing past and future events.

During this exaltation ruled by Venus, is in Virgo and that could tempt relationships, romance, and self-worth with anxiety, therefore choosing a different reaction could bring better results.

Amidst Jupiter is in Taurus retrograding, don’t skip out on care, luxuries, and affection from others as you are deserving of this with celebration and reciprocity.

While this is a period of cosmic wisdom and closure, there will be karmic rewards as well.

Upon this is Scorpio season, the grounding and practical traits of the Taurus presence will coeval, bringing an end to the two-year balancing of material and spiritual Taurus-Scorpio tango that pushed you into alignment with your ambition.

Give yourself a pat on the back for the steps you have taken over the past 2 years!

Personally, I have definitely seen more days of grateful thankfulness, by practicing daily affirmations, increased yoga, and journaling with a purpose.

This Lunar Eclipse cycle has called on me to reflect on some realities such as my love life and certain fixed signs such as Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius may have felt this stronger than others, and may need to be sure to express their gratitude to their significant others who have come out on the other side with them as well as the cosmos.

For cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, chill. You may have experienced defeat in your dreams but you are anything but basic and the real magic will be fueled by the authority and power you possess in your healing under the full moon, so grow and then glow.  I know and feel this as my Sun is in Aries, rising is Capricorn and Moon is in Libra.

Moreover, if you are a mutable sign such as Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces, please take a look deep within and engage with nature. Feel free to protect your energy and prioritize your principles if you are called to do so.  The full moon is known to shine a light on what lies beneath which may cause you to reflect on love and life. Connect with what brings peace and harmony.
