The War Goddess: Irma

Less than one week ago and more than just a number, memorable to say the least, Irma definitely lived up to her name The War Goddess which originated all the way back to Germany, but by Latin and American standards meaning to be noble, however based on her track record she was anything but that, talk about girl power.
The warfare of Irma’s presence affected mental, physical and spiritual systems alike, causing catastrophic damage to the earth as well as hearts. Irma made landfall just a few short weeks after the the Solar Eclipse on August 21st and Mercury Direct Station of Mercury retrograde for the summer.

While others have their notions about how the Eclipse has affected human activity, Mercury Retrograde is said to meddle in our communication and travel and may wreak havoc on your interaction with others without knowledge or understanding of why if one is not truly connected in their relationship with nature.
The path that Irma took in the Atlantic and Gulf, caused those in the path to doubt the advice given to leave or stay in their homes or areas for the most part. Families became torn and overcome with fear, the distrust for each other and not knowing who should they listen to or follow, the weatherman or their man. Discussions of HHARP and weather weapons invoked Jesus like complexes were used to persuade those into taking flight when the best option was to take cover and prepare for something simpler, like filling up bath tubs in case of loss of electricity and water.
Climate changes can certainly affect the mental states of some individuals tremendously and the increase of murder as well as suicide rates, due to lack of Sunlight whether hot or cold. The Sun is what gives life and not having enough of it decreases our connection to the Earth and the ability to trust our own selves. According to science research, crimes and incidents are increasing every year can be connected to inclimate weather.
Love does conquer all, and in the midst of triumph many called upon on Goddesses Yemaya and Oshun to calm the waters and have mercy on their loved ones from the projected flooding and storm surges, bringing the teeter tottering of a category five hurricane down to a tropical storm.
If Irma could speak in her own words it may appear similar to this:
“I was born under water” ….

Unlike meteorologists, no one really knows how I was originated but is considered to be quite a big deal…

The more people fear me, the more powerful I became

I have taken many lives and considered unstoppable

I am a home-wrecker, yet uninvited like most whom have destroyed homes

I am serial, yet my predictability still shocks and awes

No one can tell me when I can come or go, but circumstances circumvents my power

While Irma’s last destination caused less damage than where she started, our hearts go our to those who suffered. Hurricane Irma claimed many lives, destroyed many households, she is not the first and definitely not the last. While tropical depressions are and can be deadly, the best defense is preparation and knowledge. Fear will never protect you from getting hurt. If you are not sure what to do, pay close attention to nature, listen to wisdom and most importantly, don’t try to scare another person into submission, this can cause long term affects similar to the destruction of wind and flood.
